After a few days of test the new Theater major feature has been committed to
the Git repository.
Now Theater has support for live streams
- Live Streams configuration panel: Will permit to quickly
configure live streams, Theater will automatically start and stop a Flux process
and create an .sd file at the beginning and at the end of the live stream (the
create .sd will work only with feng from GIT)
- Message Wall for Live Streams: Users following the live
stream can post messages to the conference wall. A moderation grid is available
for admin user to accept/reject user submitted messages
- Timeline for Live Streams: If the live stream has
sub-events it is possible to configure a timeline, which will show the currently
running and future events title and relator names under the video stream.
Also Theater has support for direct Feng control
Theater is now able to check if feng is running and if it isn't it will
restart it as soon as a stream is requested. Also from the configuration panel
it is now possible to restart feng and check its current status.
Now Theater has a quite rich set of features and in a few days a guide will
be available
