LScube

We prepared an ubuntu livecd already configured to perform live streaming with LSCube. It is intended to be used on the computer that will acquire the video from the camera and will send it to the feng server to be redistributed to users.

It works with dvgrab and ffmpeg, and so requires a firewire camera to be connected to the system. By clicking on the Live Stream icon on the desktop a Pipes instance will be started that will permit to record from the camera and stream to the server.

Keep in mind that Pipes will record in the home of the users, so if you use it directly from the livecd it will consume your ramfs home quite fast.
